    Join filmmakers Daphné Mandel and Guy Bertrand for an exclusive screening of Cha Guo, their heartwarming documentary about a rural village preserving its traditions amidst rising modernization. They'll discuss what inspired them to tell the story of Kwu Tung and the cinematic techniques used to capture its community, culture, and spirit. The film will be in Cantonese with English subtitles.

    For sessions with amplified sound, hearing loop technology is available on request.

    Cha Guo tells the story of Kwu Tung, a rural Hong Kong village on the doorstep of China’s Silicon Valley. It follows the lives of ordinary residents doing incredible things to keep their traditions alive.

    Daphné Mandel is a French architect turned artist living in Hong Kong. Her work, which blends traditional and digital visual art techniques, explores the transitional spaces at the city's fringe.
